Bulge Above Tummy Tuck Incision

Bulge Above Tummy Tuck Incision?

The bulge above the tummy tuck incision can be prevented. While many have been moving towards a more natural body, it is important to note some of the risks that come with it. I will discuss various solutions, and ways in which you can avoid them.

Tummy tuck incisions: you either love them or hate them. On one hand, they look like a small bulge above the common tummy tuck incision site. But on the other hand, they are a very low-risk place to have an above-the-belly-button (“ABB”) or below-the-belly button.

The bulge is likely just swelling from the surgery. You should give yourself time to heal, and see how things go.

If you have concerns about your appearance, you should discuss them with your surgeon. He/she can give you an accurate assessment and may recommend some measures to help you feel better.

After a tummy tuck, some patients may be left with an upper abdominal bulge. This is usually caused by excess skin that has not been removed from the lower abdomen, but can also be caused by excess fat or fluid. The best way to get rid of this bulge is to have a second procedure called a mastopexy or breast lift. In this surgery, the excess skin and tissue above the belly button are removed, as well as any stretch marks that are present in this area. An incision is made just below your breasts and around their outer edge. This incision allows the surgeon to remove skin and tissue above your belly button, which brings down the natural fold above it and makes it look more defined and attractive. This procedure can help eliminate any excess skin above your belly button after weight loss surgery or if you simply have more fat than muscle in this area.

Mastopexy is usually performed at the same time as other plastic surgery procedures such as liposuction or abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), but can also be done on its own without other procedures if necessary.

There are many reasons why your upper abdominal bulge is still present. The most common reason is stretching of the skin above your belly button. This can occur in anyone, but it is more common after a tummy tuck.

If you have lost a lot of weight, then the upper abdominal bulge may be due to excess skin and fat at the lower edge of your incision. This can be addressed with liposuction or another type of surgical procedure called an umbilicoplasty (belly button lift).

A third possibility is that there is some residual swelling or fluid collection causing the bulge. If this were true, it would eventually go away on its own as the fluid drained out over time or reduced with diuretic medications such as Lasix (furosemide).

Fat Pockets After Tummy Tuck

After a tummy tuck, the skin around the umbilicus is tightened, but the subcutaneous fat layer under the skin is not removed. This can cause a bulge at this area.

To reduce this bulge, it is possible to perform liposuction on the upper abdomen. Liposuction is a simple procedure that uses anesthesia and local numbing agents to remove excess fat from areas where it does not belong.

The belly button can be reshaped during lipo to give it a more rounded shape or to make it smaller if it protrudes too much. Sometimes excess skin in this area needs to be removed as well. Liposuction alone will not eliminate all of your excess skin and fat after a tummy tuck – you should discuss this with your plastic surgeon prior to having surgery performed on your lower abdomen.

You have a bulging or protruding appearance of the upper abdomen after surgery. You may also have pain or discomfort in the same area. The reason for this is that your muscles were tightened during your tummy tuck and have since relaxed, allowing the skin to bulge outwards.

The best way to correct this problem is to tighten the muscle again with a secondary procedure called a “muscle tightening” or “muscle plication.” This can be done under local anesthesia in the office setting if you are otherwise healthy and don’t smoke.

If you are overweight, then you should lose weight before having any additional surgery done on your abdomen in order to reduce the risk of complications such as wound healing problems.

A lot of patients have upper abdominal bulging after tummy tuck. This is due to the fact that the rectus muscles run along your anterior abdominal wall, and they are not removed during surgery. The only viable option to address this type of problem is a muscle repair that involves cutting through some of the muscles in order to make more room for your skin and fat. This procedure is called an advanced tummy tuck or muscle advancement.

The procedure can be done under general anesthesia and takes about 2-3 hours. I use absorbable sutures, which is why it does not require any dressing or drains to be placed inside the abdomen. This is a major advantage over other procedures that may take longer and require drainage tubes to be placed in order to allow fluid accumulation from the incision sites to be drained out via tubes placed inside the abdomen after surgery.

Hip Bulge After Tummy Tuck

The surgeon will take fat from another area of your body and inject it into the area where you want more volume. This procedure can be done under local anesthesia at the office and does not require hospitalization or sedation.

This procedure usually takes about 30 minutes and there are no complications associated with it. You will notice an improvement in your shape within 3-4 months after surgery.

There are no risks associated with fat grafting since your own fat is being used, however there may be some bruising or swelling that lasts for a few weeks after surgery.

The upper abdominal bulge is the result of your diastasis recti. The diastasis can be repaired with a Tummy Tuck, but the result will not be perfect. You will still have some bulge and it’s likely that your muscles will not tighten back up completely.

The best way to treat this problem is to do core exercises on a regular basis. It’s also important that you don’t gain weight back after your surgery. If you have loose skin, you can have an additional operation (abdominoplasty) to remove it if desired.

After a tummy tuck, it is not uncommon to have an upper abdominal bulge. It is important to understand that this is due to the fact that the muscle layer of the abdomen has been tightened, but the skin has not. The skin will stretch over time and this bulge will subside. If you are concerned about this issue, I would recommend waiting at least 6 months before considering surgery to correct it. I would also discuss with your surgeon what kind of scar revision surgery he/she would recommend in order to make your scar(s) as inconspicuous as possible.
