Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

Whether you have a botched belly button tummy tuck, or just want to know more about the procedure, this blog is for you! Belly button tummy tucks are a great way to improve your body image and feel more confident in your clothes. The procedure can be performed on both men and women, but it is especially popular among women who are unhappy with the look of their belly button after pregnancy.

Your doctor will likely recommend that you stay off your feet for two weeks after surgery so that you can heal properly without putting too much pressure on your new belly button area. After that period of rest, you should be able to resume normal activities as long as they don’t require extensive physical activity or straining yourself too much (e.g., lifting heavy objects).

Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

A botched belly button tummy tuck is a serious problem. It can lead to abscesses and infections, which can spread through your body. You also might have complications with the operation itself. If something goes wrong during the procedure, it can mean that you need a second surgery.

If you want to get rid of your loose skin after pregnancy or weight loss, there are a few things you need to know about getting a tummy tuck:

Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

The first thing you should know is that it’s not just about getting rid of the extra skin on your stomach — it’s also about making sure that everything else looks good too. This includes tightening up your muscles and removing excess fat from around your waistline as well as from inside your abdomen. Your doctor may even suggest liposuction for some areas if necessary.

You may also want to consider getting liposuction done around other parts of your body, such as your thighs, arms and buttocks — anything that has cellulite in it can benefit from liposuction because it removes unwanted fat deposits without surgery.

If you’re interested in getting a tummy

For many women, a tummy tuck is the one procedure they have been dreaming of since they were teenagers. The dream is to look and feel great in their swimsuit, or even just to feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, some women are extremely disappointed when they wake up from their tummy tuck surgery.

Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

For some reason, many plastic surgeons choose to expose the belly button during tummy tucking surgery. This exposes the belly button to possible injury during the procedure and also makes it more difficult to heal properly.

If your surgeon chooses not to close your belly button, then you will most likely have a “belly button” that looks like this:

It is important that you discuss this with your surgeon before agreeing to have your tummy tuck done by him/her. If your surgeon does not close your belly button during surgery then make sure he/she advises you on how long it will take for it to heal and whether or not there are any risks associated with leaving it open.

Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

I had a tummy tuck, breast lift and breast augmentation. The surgeon took all the skin from my abdomen and put it into the breasts and left me with a huge belly button. I am now looking to have this repaired because it looks like someone made an incision in my stomach, it is very low and wide. The doctor says he will not fix it because he doesn’t want to take away any more of my stomach skin.

I am so angry at this doctor and do not know what to do next. Please help!

Botched Belly Button Tummy Tuck

I had a tummy tuck and liposuction in November of 2011. I was told that I would be able to wear a bikini by March 2012. The surgery went well but the recovery was horrible. The pain and swelling was horrible. I was unable to bend at the waist for 3 months and the incision site hurt for over 6 months. My belly button looked awful when it healed, so much so that people asked me if I had an accident or surgery on it!

I went back to see my surgeon who agreed that it looked bad but said that he could not do anything about it because it had healed over 6 months prior. He did offer me another surgery which would cost me another $2000 dollars plus all of my time off work again, but no guarantees that it would go any better than before!

I am a 25 year old female who had her belly button done by Dr. Rick Baker in Nov of 2008. I am not trying to bash him or his work but I want people to know that there is no such thing as a tummy tuck that will “lift” the belly button. The skin around it will tighten up and it will look better but it won’t lift. If you want to get rid of your scars and lumps, then its worth it, but don’t expect miracles!

The first couple months after my surgery were great, the healing process was pretty smooth and my scars were minimal. I did have some swelling around the incision site for about 4 months after surgery (which is normal) but other than that everything was going well until 2 months after my surgery when I noticed that my belly button had changed shape slightly (it was no longer sticking out). I called Dr. Baker’s office and spoke to his nurse who told me that this is normal and that the swelling would go down eventually so she scheduled an appointment for me with Dr. Baker in 3 months so he could take another look at it.

3 months later…I went back in for another consultation with Dr. Baker where he informed

HOURGLASS TUMMY TUCK BEFORE AND AFTER

Hourglass tummy tuck before and after

Introduction

Human beings, especially women, have been obsessed with body aesthetics since time immemorial. Aesthetic flaws and shortcomings have since remained hotly debated topics. Many women experience self-esteem issues when they are unable to identify with current beauty trends or have got cosmetic flaws in the body. The hourglass figure is the trendiest body shape of modern time. It features wider hips, smaller waist, and a curvaceous figure.

The female body goes through different changes over the course of life. One of the problems that almost majority of women suffer from is a saggy abdomen. Factors like pregnancy, weight fluctuations, aging, and other factors cause the abdomen to lose its elasticity. As a result, the abdomen becomes saggy and the condition affects your overall beauty. If your abdomen is saggy and you want to get a firmer abdomen and the hourglass body, you may consider getting the hourglass tummy tuck.

The hourglass body

Before explaining how your body will appear before and after the hourglass tummy tuck, it is important to first understand as to what the hourglass body is and why it is important. The hourglass body is the most popular body shape of all time. Wider hips and smaller waist, in addition to a curvaceous body, make it a unique and famous body shape.

Wider hips are signs of femininity, fertility, and physical attractiveness. On the other hand, a smaller waist makes you look younger, energetic, and sexy. When wider hips and a smaller waist combine, it can transform your overall physical appearance and add attractive aesthetic features to your body. Every year, tens of thousands of women undergo plastic surgery to get the hourglass body. However, not all procedures can sculpt your body into the hourglass shape. If you want to get the hourglass body, you should consider undergoing one of the dedicated and signature procedures developed by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Wilberto Cortes.

What is the hourglass tummy tuck?

Dr. Wilberto Cortes has developed different procedures to carve the female body into the hourglass shape. The hourglass tummy tuck is one of those procedures. However, not all women can qualify for the surgery. This procedure is recommended for women who have loose and saggy abdomen due to pregnancy, weight changes, aging, etc. These factors make the abdomen saggy by making the abdominal wall muscles separated and weakening the elastin in the skin.

For example, during pregnancy, the female body experiences both physical and hormonal changes. As the baby grows, the abdomen expands and becomes large. The expansion separates the abdominal wall muscles and weakens the abdominal skin. As a result, the abdomen becomes saggy. At this point, many women feel the need to get back their firmer and youthful abdomen because a saggy abdomen affects their self-esteem.

The tummy tuck can tighten your saggy abdomen; however, if you also want to get the famous hourglass body, then you should undergo the hourglass tummy tuck. The hourglass tummy tuck has an impressive history of effectively contouring the female abdomen and delivering the hourglass figure. Many women wonder as to what they have to do before and after the hourglass tummy tuck.

Before the hourglass tummy tuck

The hourglass tummy tuck is a major and highly invasive plastic surgery procedure. As such, there are certain prerequisites that the patient has to meet before the surgery. Also, it is critical for the patient to be fully prepared. The plastic surgeon will determine your candidacy for the operation during the consultation session before the surgery. The doctor will examine your body, assess your health, and analyze your goals before telling you if you are a good candidate for the procedure.

Keep in mind to select a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in the hourglass tummy tuck to do the operation. Not all surgeons are made equal. Some may be experienced in certain plastic surgery procedures but not all. Also, only a few plastic surgeons can effectively sculpt your body into the hourglass shape.

The hourglass surgery involves downtime and a complete recovery process. You must take at least two or three weeks off work to recover. Also, it is vital for the patient to be mentally prepared and understand what will happen during the operation. Research has found that patients who are mentally ready for any invasive procedure experience little or no complications and achieve the desired outcomes. Your recovery will also be smooth when you are psychologically prepared. Be sure to discuss your goals and expectations with the surgeon before the hourglass tummy tuck.

There are certain tests and scans that you will be required to get before the hourglass tummy tuck. For instance, you will have to take a pregnancy test, blood tests, X-rays, and other important tests. The results of the tests will determine the level of risks you may be exposed to and the precautionary measures required.

If you are a smoker, you must share this information with the plastic surgeon before the hourglass tummy tuck. There is no doubt that smoking is extremely dangerous for your health. It affects the healing process and increases the risks of complications. If you are a smoker, the surgeon will advise you to stop smoking at least two weeks before the surgery and avoid smoking during the recovery period.

It is also important to tell the surgeon about medicines you may be taking because certain medications can affect your health during and after the surgery. If you are taking any medicines, you must bring it to the surgeon’s information before the hourglass tummy tuck. The surgeon will advise you accordingly.

To have a safe and smooth surgery and recovery, it is critical for the patient to start eating a healthy and balanced diet before the surgery. Avoid unhealthy foods and instead eat more vegetables, protein, and fruits before the surgery. Also, increase your intake of water.

Before explaining what you need to do and expect after the hourglass tummy tuck, you should understand as to how the procedure is performed.

How is the hourglass tummy tuck done?

The hourglass tummy tuck is performed under general anesthesia because it is an invasive procedure. The plastic surgeon will first make incisions on your abdomen. By using the incisions, the doctor will get access to the separated and loose abdominal muscles. He will use certain techniques to tighten and repair the muscles. The plastic surgeon will then remove the excess skin and fat from the abdomen. He will also reposition the belly button so that it looks youthful. As a result of these steps, the abdomen will become tighter.

In the next major step, the surgeon will perform liposuction on the fat donor areas like the abdomen, sides, flanks, love handles, and upper back. Liposuction of these areas will not only contour the target areas and reduce the size of the waist but also collect donor fat to be transferred to the hips. The plastic surgeon will then process the fat and then inject it into the hips with the goal to make the hips wider. The results of the surgery will take many weeks and even months to transpire.

After the hourglass tummy tuck

You need to have realistic expectations for life after the hourglass tummy tuck. After the procedure, your abdomen and the fat donor areas will be swollen and bruised due to the incisions and surgical trauma. The swelling is there to stay for many weeks after the procedure.

The patient must also be extremely careful after the hourglass tummy tuck. Do not engage in physical activities right after the procedure. Instead, spend two or three weeks resting in bed. Furthermore, you must avoid sleeping on your back and front for at least two weeks because the pressure can trigger wound splitting. Instead, you should sleep on your side. Also, avoid sitting for two weeks following the operation.

Strenuous activities must be avoided for six weeks after the hourglass tummy tuck. After six weeks, you will be able to engage in physical activities like exercise, jogging, stretching, weight lifting, etc. The results will start to become prominent many weeks after the procedure. When the results transpire, you will see that your abdomen has become flatter, tighter, smooth, and aesthetically appealing. Furthermore, your figure will change into the hourglass shape and feature wider hips, smaller waist, and an overall curvaceous shape.
